We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you. (Genuflect)
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
The soldiers went and broke the legs of the first man and then of the other man who had been crucified with Jesus. But when they came to Jesus, they saw that he was already dead, so they did not break his legs, however, a soldier plunged his spear into Jesus’ side, and at once blood and water poured out. (John 19:32-34)
Prayer:
O Mary Mother of God, whose grief was boundless as an ocean that has no limits, give us a share in your most holy sorrow in the sufferings of your Son, and have compassion on our infirmities.
Our Father.., Hail Mary.., Glory Be..
Have mercy on us, O Lord.
Have mercy on us.
Holy Mother, pierce me through!
In my heart, each wound renew,
Of my Savior crucified.
Stunned and stricken, Mary, Mother
In your arms was placed our brother,
Full of grace now filled with grief.
